Me and My Country

Έτσι γεννήθηκε το My country by the Greeks.

After 6 years of blogging with Style n Critcs i couldn’t resist on the idea of new site more travelling. The idea came to me suddenly  while i was sipping my morning coffee, looking outside of the window and denying to grab my “to do list”. That was the “birth” of My country by the Greeks.

48 hours in Istanbul

*This trip  was made 15days after the terrrorist attacked in Sultanahmet Square  on 16 January 2016. Yesterday terrorists attacked in Taksim Square …This post is dedicated to all the victims of terrorism.

I was planning to write lots of words about Istanbul but i decided the photos to speak..Before starting the photo tour i would like to confess that Istanbul or Costantinoupoli is a amazing city, is the city of contrasts.Istanbul is incessantly in balance between East and West, old ages and modernity.

Pay a visit in Basilica Cistern. If you dont suffer of  claustrophobia, the Basilica Cistern is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul.

The cistern was built in  6th century during the reign of Byzantine emperor Justinian

Sultanahmet Square, “tasfirin simit” a kind of  bagel , delicious!

Pay a visit in the temple of  Hagia Sophia
Except of the great architectural beauty Hagia Sophia is an important monumet both for Byzantine and for the Ottoman Empires.Once a christian church, later a mosque and now a museum, Hagia Sophia has always been the precious of its time.

Adorable Mosaics.
Crossing the Galata Bridge  is a way to understand why this is city is called the city of contrasts.
